This weekend, Leticia and I decided to go down to Utah for a quick getaway and to run a 5k race with my best friend, Holli. The race was called "Beat Beethoven." It was for the fine arts for schools and as you ran, a guy dressed up as Beethoven ran and the Beethoven symphony played. The goal was to finish before the symphony ended. If you did, you beat Beethoven and got a pin! My goal was to beat Beethoven, but I was a bit nervous after recovering from a bad sinus infection last week. I was proud of myself when I crossed the finish line a little after 31 minutes. It was not my best race time, but I still got out there and ran!
